Meet Lorenzo and hear about his passion behind Vino e Cucina: https://www.youtube.com/embed/d0lrA7l57bY
Vino e Cucina is a small Italian restaurant located on Carson and Lakewood not far from the Long Beach Airport. Typically the food associated with airports is overpriced and not very good, however, the opposite can be said about Vino e Cucina.
Owner/Operator Lorenzo Mottola says that he wants Vino e Cucina to feel like an extension of your own dining room. To that end, the restaurant has a quaint and cozy feeling to it.
In addition, to creating a comfortable and cozy space for diners to enjoy their food Vino e Cucina has been serving up some of the best rustic, authentic Italian in the city for nearly a decade.
Their menu, which rotates twice a year, is comprised of not only staples like carbonara, bolognese, or lasagna that everyone will enjoy, but also exciting specials and adventurous choices for those looking to try something new.
Additionally, most of their menu options can be modified to accommodate most dietary restrictions, from vegetarianism to gluten intolerance. They offer something for everyone, regardless of dietary preference or restriction.
At Vino e Cucina it is easy to want to try something new, the atmosphere is relaxing, and in the small space, you can smell the delicious dishes being prepared and coming out to the tables.
To compliment their foods Lorenzo and his staff are proud to offer what they called “one of the most dynamic wine lists in the city” comprising of a whole host of white and red wines to pair perfectly with your meal. All Italian of course.
Lorenzo said that in his staff not only is a friendly personality and great customer service skills important, but so is their knowledge of wine and wine pairings. After all, Vino e Cucina means Wine AND Food it is an important part of the experience for their guests.
While waiting to begin the interview with Lorenzo, Debra Campbell, a resident of San Juan Capistrano, leaned over to tell me that she makes a point to come to Vino e Cucina anytime she is in Long Beach.
With a comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food it is easy to see why customers are so enthusiastic about Vino e Cucina! You can visit them for lunch or dinner, and make sure to stop by during Long Beach Restaurant Week August 3rd-11th to check out their specials for the week.
