Meet Dannesh, one of the owners of Crazy Fish and hear about his passion for fresh seafood: https://www.youtube.com/embed/5drnqHcRP3s
Located in San Pedro just over the bridge from Long Beach is Crazy Fish Grill and Market, a fast-casual seafood restaurant that focuses on serving fresh fish in new and interesting ways. Dannesh says that one of the things helping Crazy Fish succeed is that he and his four partners all have extensive experience in the seafood industry.
To this end, they know fresh fish inside and out and refuse to serve anything but top quality fish. To complement the high-quality fish that they bring in the team at crazy fish also make all of their sauces, the batter for the fried fish, and many of the other components to their dishes in-house.
However, Crazy Fish is more than just a place to sit down and eat or grab a bite on your lunch break. Upon walking in one of the first things customers see is the case of fresh fish available for purchase.
This is where the ‘Market’ in Crazy Fish Grill and Market comes from. Dannesh says that although the majority of their customers come in for the food they serve, the Crazy Fish team is proud to display their fish up front.
The thing that may be the biggest surprise of all is the speed at which the staff at Crazy Fish is able to prepare dishes. Despite serving fish in a bunch of different fashions Dannesh’s cooks are able to get customers food out to them with only a short wait.
Fish is typically kind of tricky to cook, it can come out mushy if undercooked and very dry if overcooked. For Crazy Fish to deliver fresh, properly cooked fish as quickly as they do is a testament to how well Dannesh and his team know their fish!
Although they are not technically in Long Beach we here at Dine LBC loved Crazy Fish so much we had to include them in this year’s restaurant week. Make sure to stop Crazy Fish by during Long Beach Restaurant Week August 3rd-11th to check out their specials for the week!
