Joey Rooney says he opened The Crooked Duck as a way to combine his passion for water skiing and his love of the service industry. For him, it is important that when people arrive in his restaurant that they feel at home.

Self-described as an upscale American diner The Crooked Duck may be known for their breakfast, but what sets them apart from the other breakfast places in Long Beach is that they stay open all day. Joey attributes this to working with his long-time partner Chef Jugo.

Although breakfast might be the first thing to come to mind, The Crooked Duck offers so much more.
